Planetarium Fact Sheet
Interested in the details of our planetarium? Here's a page that lists some of the history and capabilities, as well as images of the planetarium.

DIRECTIONS: The planetarium (Room MS 8224) is located on the eighth floor of the Mathematical Sciences Building and the telescopes are located on the ninth floor. For detailed directions and parking information, click here

For more information about the UCLA Planetarium, please email planet[AT]astro.ucla.edu.

We are actively working on ways to renovate and improve the UCLA planetarium.
For information about this effort, see our Planetarium Committee page.

The planetarium shows (suitable for all ages) are given by UCLA professors, post-doctoral researchers, and current graduate students. Content varies with the presenters, but commonly includes discussion about the current night sky, constellations, astronomical phenomena, and more!

No Late Arrivals: All shows start at 8:00PM (rain or shine) and last about 45-60 minutes. Unfortunately, due to the darkness needed inside the planetarium, late arrivals can not be admitted.

Private shows are available for educational groups by special arrangement. Please contact the Planetarium Directors at planet[AT]astro.ucla.edu AT LEAST one month ahead of time to schedule private shows.
